The Things That She Does              by:  Ralph Conte         Copyright 2004

She is just like a princess

She has so many interests

Yes, she knows, what is fun

And she moves on

She is always so tender

Loves everything that I send her

And I tell her how, much I love

The things that she does

It is just our intention

To give each other attention

Every night, when we get home

Our love keeps on growin

I just can’t wait to see her

And every time that I meet her

I tell her how, much I love

The things that she does

I used to be more or less all alone, ‘til she came to me like a dream filled with hope

It was late in the evening

While I was silently sleeping

I woke up for a call

Now I heard it all

She called to say that she missed me

And how she wanted to kiss me

So I told her how, much I love

The things that she does

Yes I, tell her how, much I love

The things that she does

Out There                   by:  Ralph Conte           Copyright 2000

Well there’s something for everybody out there

They could put headlights, on your rocking chair

You could put pink hearts, on your underwear

You could put any color in your body hair

You can look at a picture of the rising sun

Take a look out your window, and see the people run

You can look into the shadows of your favorite bum

He can talk about the days he had that used to be fun

Now there’s something that you need, and you need it fast

You don’t have to wait anymore if you got the cash

In two or three weeks you put it out with the trash

Just when you thought you found something that was gonna last

There’s something for everybody out there

You can buy a machine to filter out your cares

With electric windows, and factory air

And leather bucket seats for the millionaire

You can go to a school to be the president

And sit around and guess what other people meant

When they wrote a thousand years ago in wet cement

That you don’t have to worry if you don’t have a cent

Well I’d give you a clue, if I thought it would help

But you’re probably like me, you got to learn for yourself

So pick out any bottle that you see on the shelf

And tell me when you’re finished if you’re somebody else

Yeah there’s something for everyone this year

When the sky is dark, and the air is clear

You can play the songs that you want to hear

And see the full moon smile at you from ear to ear

How It Tasted                          by:  Ralph Conte          Copyright 2004

Don’t know how I got on this road, don’t know how I got here

Just took a few wrong turns back there, when my memory disappeared

The time I spend retracing steps is always wasted

But it’s so hard to let it go, when I remember how it tasted

The days go by so slow, as I try to find the open road

But I keep on making turns while my tires screech and the rubber burns

The time I spend retracing steps is always wasted

But it’s so hard to let it go, when I remember how it tasted

So I’ll just keep on walking, till I find where I belong,

I’ll know I’m a getting close when another lover comes along

The time I spend retracing steps is always wasted

But it’s so hard to let it go, when I remember how it tasted

Confusion                        by:  Ralph Conte                 Copyright 2004

Always, so much confusion

They say it’s all illusion

So much confusion, does it matter when?

Salesmen call me on the phone, they bother me at home

They call me Mr. Jones, they don’t even know my name

I tell them he’s not here, I try to make it clear

I try to say good-bye, but they keep on asking why

It’s just always, so much confusion

What happened to the union?

Always so much confusion

I try to read the news, but the newspaper views

Can never satisfy, no matter how they try

They say democracy, but in reality

It means just wait and see, it’s all the same to me

It’s just, so much confusion

What happened to the union

Always so much confusion

You’re with me all the time, you’re always on my mind

I was so lucky to find, such a lovely girl like you

But there’s, so much confusion

What happened to the music?

Is there a solution?
